The comment about using the same dongle for a keyboard and mouse is surprising but not the first time I've heard it. Never really had a problem besides dead batteries and occasional flash drive interference. The Logitech ones area really small, and you don't notice them on the back of the keyboard.īeen using wireless keyboards and mice nearly exclusively since 2003. While I don't use it all the time, a usb 2.0 passthrough on my keyboard is useful sometimes, but not all usb transceivers like being plugged into an extension/hub so it may or may not work for your usb mouse transceiver. I used wireless devices for years previously, and gamed with them. Provided you're not ocd about wires and aesthetics wires are fine. I prefer to keep things simple, I'm over e-waste devices you can't replace the battery easily, having to stop to charge/plugin the device, and some wireless devices won't let you use them when they're charging. If people are willing to spend the money they can get wireless charging mousepads for their wireless mice too so they don't have to worry about plugging them in, but they a little heavier than being wired. On the latest gaming devices they frankly just about as fast for response as usb devices, but you might have to deal with interference and battery level issues.
